Manufacturing activity in the 10th Federal Reserve District was sluggish in May, the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City reported Thursday.
The percentage of surveyed companies reporting production increases in May fell to 0 from 7 in April. Most other month-to-month indexes also decreased or remained unchanged from April, the Fed reported.
Year-to-year indexes were mixed in May.
After rebounding in April, most future factory activity indexes moderated or remained largely unchanged in May.
Price indexes rose in May.
The 10th Federal Reserve District covers Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, northern New Mexico and Western Missouri.
