Workers at STMicroelectronics” manufacturing site in Rousset, France, on strike since March 20 over better wages, were blocking the entry to the site today (March 26) despite a court order to stay away, according to Agence France Presse.
The picket line is still there. The entry to the manufacturing site is blocked to all vehicles but remains accessible on foot, notified the General Confederation of Labor, French trade union, to AFP.
On March 24, ST had issued a writ against four trade unionists in the magistrate”s court of Aix-en-Provence (France), considering that they had committed an offense against the freedom to come and go. The court charged strikers to clear the site.
